Updates

10/05/08 : iFrame integration complete, all pages had to be updated to comply with this. For those who have asked about why I changed it I will give you an answer, this way when you load a page, your only loading the actual changed information, like this page you had already loaded the Nav-Bar, so why should you load it again? that Nav-Bar is about forty kilobytes, yes not much but add each page load up. This saves you time and slightly lowers my server usage but do you see the effect?.

Some other changes are planned for the site and the Projects, Process Stopper 3.0² is nearing 100% compeletion and will be finalized within the month. This means other than some weird bug in the program there will be no more updates for Process Stopper 3.0² until "Universal Edition" is released. On that "Universal Edition" will have a NEW design, no blue gradient, no black. No more information on that ;P

03/04/08 : Some minor updates to the site have been made, for example the e-mail addresses for contacting me now have a spam prevention system in place, and changes to all of the games pages mainly a note saying you need flash. The ShoutBox has been changed, to a more efficient comments system.

23/01/08 : Well, first update of 2008 and I want you to know I will be working hard to make my website, software and anything else much better than last year.

On a rather grim note, µTorrent 1.7.6 was released recently and it's not good. µTorrent 1.7.6 restricts your download speeds and makes it hard to torrent anything. So, the Fred Munro Anti-µTorrent 1.7.6 Campaign has started. I now provide a download link to the ONLY decent version of µTorrent, and that is 1.6.1. If Bit Torrent Inc or the µTorrent teams want this link removed, you can kiss my ass. It was downloaded BEFORE µTorrent was sold for a lump sum from Bit Torrent Inc. So this version is property of the community thus, I am making it available to them seeing you removed it from the µTorrent servers when people didnt believe your rubbish about it being prone to the remote crashing problem. My arse it is, I havent crashed once while using µTorrent 1.6.1 you just want people using a RIAA / MPAA endorsed torrent client that probally reports what your downloading to the afore mentioned anti piracy groups. So I have two words for µTorrent 1.7.6, Bit Torrent Inc & and the idiots at µTorrent : SCREW YOU.

05/12/07 : The move of the downloads to their own Sub-Domain as mentioned below, has happened and is online. All download links should have been updated and should work fine. Any problems drop me an e-mail to let me know. I hope this change improves the organization and structure of the website and makes it a bit easier on the main site.

05/12/07 : A few days ago I released Process Stopper 3.0² » Defiance Edition, and I have to say I'm impressed with the downloads that my server is reporting, over 120 since release. In other news, the main page's ticker has been changed it now doesn't cause the excessive CPU usage and it looks better also it can house more messages than it's predecessor. Soon the downloads will be moved to their own sub-domain to help in the organization of the website which will take a few days to fully implement but like the projects change I believe it will be better that way.

28/11/07 : I have made considerable progress on Defiance Edition and I must say, this version is darker than its predecessors, it has dark backgrounds and light foreground text. I think this works better because instead of that fancy gradient I had this is simpler and for me easier to see. Also this design fits the Black taskbar of Vista making Defiance Edition look more integrated. 23/11/07 : Update - After consulting a legal representative, she has seen the evidence and believes they are in fact in breach of my copyright over Process Stopper, and that their demand for me to purge all development material is a blatant attempt to scare me into doing as they say and for them to corner the market in the area I have started to develop for. I have been advised to continue development as I am not in the wrong. So, good news everyone! I am proud to announce I have resumed work on the next incarnation of Process Stopper! I am going release a Unique version of Process Stopper 3 dubbed "Defiance Edition". I will update you on this as work starts and I'll give you more information on "Defiance Edition" as I implement it.

21/11/07 : As some of you might know "Encrypt It!" was killed by an impending legal case, well this morning I received e-mail and postal warnings from a software developer demanding that I destroy all development material for Process Stopper (all current and past versions) even though their development started over one years ago, and mine started just over one and a half years ago. Also attached material from themselves contradicts what they are saying. I will update this soon.

30/10/07 : The long awaited release of my latest and greatest Process Stopper has arrived, you can find the latest version on the Process Stopper Projects page. Also a number of other fixes have been made to the site over the last few hours. You shouldn't really notice them, but the site should work a bit better now.

18/10/07 : As you should notice, the forums have changed, hopefully the last major change... Also the WinMX Page and the XTM pages have been updated. I also made a few minor changes to the site itself.. you wont notice them :P.

08/08/07 : As you should now know the forums are back online now, please re-sign up as the database was obliterated in the server-side screw up. You should also know if you want the forums directly you can now use this address: "http://forum.fredmunro.co.uk" and you will go directly to there. The problems with the Nav-Bar have been fixed along with an anomaly with the background images. As you may have noticed my Countdown expired, and the Earth didn't implode which is cool.

17/07/07 : Due to a server problem the site was down for more than 14 hours, I have been in contact with Streamline regarding this. Also I have noticed problems with the Nav-Bar and will be taking measures to fix them very soon, sorry for any inconvenience.

03/07/07 : The forums are now open!

02/07/07 : Fixed a number of problems with the site, I am now working on getting the forum working. I'm hoping this will be done pretty soon.

30/06/07 : Great news! Streamline.net now host my website and you can now use www.FredMunro.co.uk to get here.

I have noticed a few pages don't work at the moment I will fix this ASAP.

Site Overhaul

As I said on the main page, the overhaul is almost done, some users have asked why the overhaul was needed, it's actually pretty simple, the old design was optimized for users who had really High Desktop Resolutions, and it was always causing problems. Some users who run at 800x600 couldn't see the whole page so the design had to evolve also I can implement style updates easier on a CCS site than a pure HTML site.

Also accessibility features are becoming required for hard of sight users, therefore I must accommodate for this and this site's design does.

Don't worry though, I'm hoping it will be thought of as an improvement to the old site. The usual stuff should still be here.
